Troy Tolle, Co-Founder and CTO of DigitalChalk, has won the People’s Choice Award at WRAL Tech Wire’s “Full Steam Ahead Awards”.

On WRAL Tech Wire’s 10th anniversary, the “Full Steam Ahead Awards” celebrated North Carolina’s tech and life science industries that support tech or utilize the latest in IT to transform their businesses. WRAL Tech Wire gave awards to individuals in 10 different categories, plus a People’s Choice Award.
“Congratulations to Troy for being recognized for his many contributions to the technology community. This was a great award for both Troy and our company,” said Russ Stinehour, DigitalChalk’s President. Troy Tolle of DigitalChalk won the People’s Choice Award, a “Best of Tech” recognition in which more than 150 tech entrepreneurs, executives, and investors were in the running to receive. Troy was narrowed down as one of only two finalists for the award.
Through Tolle’s efforts, DigitalChalk has grown to be the premier platform for delivering continuing education online. As he received the award, Tolle thanked his peers for all of their fantastic support throughout the journey. He encouraged entrepreneurs across the state to continue to launch ideas that will change the world and bolster the technology community across the state.

For more than a decade, after leaving academia, Troy has been engaging in software improving process and function without compromising usability.
