Do your online courses lack quality color palettes or themes? Or maybe you just don’t have the time to create your own custom theme? Adding a great color palette to your courses is a great way to make you stand out, while being professional – and it doesn’t have to be time-consuming.
Adobe Kuler, a cloud-based application, helps you create quality color palettes and themes that fit your e-learning content and presentations. You can easily create, search, share, save, and rate thousands of themes, all within your browser or iPhone application.
Follow these simple steps to create a color palette with Adobe Kuler.
1. First, be sure you are signed into Adobe using your Adobe ID and Password.
2. To create your custom theme, click the “Create” tab on your Adobe Kuler toolbar. You can then select your “Color Rule,” such as Monochromatic, Complementary, or Shades.
3. You can then easily click and drag your cursor over your color wheel to choose your theme. Another option is to input your RGB or HEX code below each color square. This tool is especially useful if you are trying to match your already established color palette or website them.
4. Once you have completed your color palette, rename your theme and click “Save”. On your right side, you have plenty of options to Edit, Share, or Download your theme.
Remember, if you download your custom theme, it will easily open within Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Another option would be to copy the RGB or Hex codes of each final color and use those within the software program of your choice.
